Skylark Varnishing

Three coats of varnish on the whole of the inside of the boat, and gunwales, shining beautifully on every single blob of surplus resin.

Skylark Handle

Ply pad attached to the inside of the bow. Then two holes drilled through to attach a rope handle at the front of the boat. Always a little uncomfortable deliberately making holes in the hull. And quite a lot of tidying up to do.

Skylark Mast Step

The mast-step is set below the hole in the front bench, to keep the mast in the right place. It has been glued with loads of epoxy resin thickened with filler.

Wooden Guinea Pig House

The weather is warmer at last and Guinea Pig can go in the garden again for fresh grass, in her summer palace.

Skylark Keel

Finally started gluing the keel onto the hull. Made the fillets in sections in the end, and will fill with copious epoxy resin to try and disguise the clunking gaps. The boat is squeezed back into the shed for temperature control, it is still too chilly and unpredictably rainy outside for the glue to set properly.
