Dovetail joints for the box. Tongue and groove for the lid, hand drill and coping saw for the handle.

Planks of wood, and nails, many nails.

Small Step

DSC04902

DSC04903

A small, neat step, with angled legs and in the style of a miniature Orkney Stool. Can now reach to cut at the top of the vice when needed.

Plough Plane

A Record 044 Plough Plane makes tongue and groove a possibility for joining planks to make wider boards, and lots of curleywurley shavings.

Tin Can Wood Gasifier Stove

DSC04873

At last a gasifier that works! Followed those u-tubers really carefully and now can burn tiny scraps of wood productively.

Wishart Stool I

DSC04896

A remake of a stool seen in Orkney. This is a very solid version in comparison to the original and but does use the same vernacular style, though this plank was not found and was actually quite expensive for an off-cut in the local Buildbase.

Wish Heart

DSC04875

Practice hearts cut out of wood with a hand drill and a pad saw, while being firmly held with a substantial vice.

Invisible Mending on Stair Bannister

DSC04886

A good dollop of wood glue to remedy a sliding down the bannister accident. The child was not damaged.

Square Lamp Stand
